Arthritis is one of the most common of all the problems that is almost ruling man kind of this era. Though there are many reason that causes the arthritis but one really can’t ignore the involvement of the wrong dietary habits and other mistakes that we commit.

Well why to cry now. Below are some of the arthritis home remedies that will surely help you in making you relived from this travesty.

1. Warm coconut oil or mustard oil, mixed with two or three pieces of camphor should be massaged on stiff and aching joints. It will increase blood supply, and reduce inflammation and stiffness with the gentle warmth produced while massaging.

2. A tea made from the herb alfalfa, especially from its seeds, has shown beneficial results in the arthritis treatment. One teaspoon of alfalfa seeds may be added to one cup of water. Three to four cups of this tea should be taken daily by arthritics for at least two weeks.

3. Research suggests ginger root inhibits production of prostaglandins and leukotrienes, which are involved in pain and inflammation. In an uncontrolled 1992 Danish study, 56 patients who had either RA, OA or muscular discomfort took powdered ginger. All of those with musculoskeletal pain and three-fourths of those with OA or RA reported varying degrees of pain relief and no side effects, even among those who took the ginger for more than two years.

4. Although both ice packs and heat packs can provide some relief, don't use either for more than ten minutes at a time, advises Dr. Caldron. Usually ice is used to prevent swelling but may also douse pain; heat in small doses may promote muscle relaxation and soothe pain.

5. Potato water is another popular home remedy for arthritis. Soak sliced potatoes in water overnight and drink the juice. Another popular drink is apple cider vinegar. Drinking blackstrap molasses mixed with fruit juice is also a popular home remedy.
