Common skin disorders and their remedies

When people look at you, the first thing they see is your skin. A healthy, glowing and even smooth skin provides a good impression. Skin is the second largest part of our body and every one of us likes to take good care of skin which can prove a challenging task in case of skin disorders. Only a suffering person can know the exact feelings of these skin disorders. Let's have a look at common skin disorders and their treatments.

Acne
Acne appears when oil glands in the body overwork to produce more sebum. This extra oil mixes with sticky skin cells and blocks the hair follicles in the skin. This is termed as whitehead and if this block comes to the upper skin and touches with air, it results a black spot and is called blackhead. Remember this is not caused by dirt as many people may think about it. If this surface ruptures, the bump turns into pimple and in case of deep rupture cystic acne results. Acne mostly appears in boys but in girls' menstruation can often make acne worse. Oil based make up and hard scrubbing of skin also increases acne problem. Things like dirt, sexual activity and masturbation does not cause acne.

Acne can be easily treated. Benzoyl peroxide salicylic acids are the normally used medications to treat acne. Best thing can be to consult your doctor as he can recommend antibiotics for you. Retinoid is the other medication to treat acne but if you use retinoid you must use strong sunscreen to avoid sun, otherwise the risk of getting a bad sebum increases manifolds.

Genital Warts
Genital warts is a sexually transferred disease in which tiny cauliflower-like bumps appear on the skin. In men genital warts raise on penis, around the anus or in between the scrotum and penis. In women it grows in the perineal area, vagina and on the cervix and vulva. It is caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) and results as cervix cancer in women and penis cancer in men. Mostly the HPV grows due to oral, anal or even vaginal sex with affected partner. Can genital warts be treated? Yes surely it can be treated but don't try to treat it on your own. You should go to a doctor who can easily remove genital warts by cryotherapy (by freezing them). The other way can be the use of chemicals which dissolve the genital warts easily even in the genital area. s

Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a condition in which skin suffers through red marks that look like scales. It normally occurs because of a disorder in the immune system in which number of cells in the upper layer produces quickly and pile up on the surface. Psoriasis becomes even worse due to infections, stress or certain medicines. Psoriasis can be treated in many ways but preference should be given to your doctor as only he can tell you which treatment is suitable for you. Many skin moisturizing and body lotions can also be used to get rid of these scales.

Simple and short, once you identify your skin disorder, first of all you should avoid the things that causes and even makes the problem worse. Remember, the best solution to any skin disorder is not to scrub the skin but simply go to a doctor for immediate treatment.
